“Grace Harriet is a 20-year-old singer/songstress from Northern California, a place that deeply influences her music and lyrical content. Combining indie, rock, and folk styles, Grace performs music that encourages an audience to discover beauty in every emotion and experience. If you enjoy driving with the windows down through redwood trees, romanticizing farm life, or changing your outfit multiple times a day, you have come to the right place.”
“Grace wrote “The Way it Counts” as a breakup song with a twist containing lyrics about how she only remembers the bad parts of a relationship. “The Way it Counts” is Grace Harriet’s first musical experience with a fierce, strong attitude that adds contrast to her more vulnerable discography.”
I am sharing a few excerpts from the press release introducing the artist and the song. This is exactly the kind of indie pop/rock I was hoping to share more often on my blog. Catchy, energetic, pop-y. This is a piece of music that you can show to any of your friends and they might like it. Easy to listen to, easy to enjoy. I am glad that I do not need to listen always to niche music just to be different, feel special. I can blast this in my car and just enjoy life and I recommend you do the same. Also, if you want a great playlist to listen to in the car, I have the right one.
