Coming in hot from the sunny coastal city of Victoria, British Columbia, Figrin Sam is the musical moniker of indie rock musician Ethan Samuel Houlbrook. In his own words, he aspires to make “music to bob your head to.”
With a wobbly Spongebob-ey sound reminiscent of our own musical maverick Boys Age, Rain Check is a glittering tapestry of perfectly measured sound that thrills and chills from start to finish.
It’s dreamy, breezy, and soothing, and at less than three minutes long, it is a perfectly balanced indie pop song.
This is only his second single, but based on its success, we’ll be very much looking forward to hearing what comes next!
