Indie pop duo dayaway is the artistic vehicle of songstress Amber Renee and four-time Grammy-winning producer Graham Marsh. They recently announced their fourth EP, Time Machine. Chlorine is the lead single taken from it, and it is 202 seconds of pure indie pop bliss.
Like a hybrid of Belle & Sebastian (at their chirpiest), Gwenno and Lily Allen, it’s jaunty, jovial, and catchier than a cold.
The track is an ode to fond feelings of nostalgia and is full of fun. Its unique pairing of dream pop textures, 60s girl group vocals, surf rock guitars, and sunshine vibes make it perfect for your burgeoning summer playlist.
The EP it’s taken from will be released on September 17th.
