Single: Conflict at Serenity Pools – Bermuda Grass

We’ve got a new single release from Conflict At Serenity Pools (CASP), called Bermuda Grass, and I can’t express my love for it enough, to be honest with you. This track was released on April 22, and since then it’s been a bit of a crutch of mine. I’ve been having a rough few weeks with some health issues and this single gave me so much dopamine that I forgot about my struggles for a while.

When Bermuda Grass starts, it almost feels like a video game soundtrack; super fun bits and bobs make it sound like a loading screen to your favorite nostalgic game on the Gamecube or SNES. Then the drums come in and you get a fuller taste of what’s to come.

It’s almost as if you’ve been teleported to a worry-free vacation at an all-inclusive and sunny resort. Giving your brain a much-needed holiday for almost 4 whole minutes, Bermuda Grass is the first single I’ve heard from CASP, but DEFINITELY not the last. This track really pulled me in and made me genuinely excited for more from them.

Bermuda Grass is riddled with fun instrumental appearances and silken vocals that couldn’t be more perfect of a match. The acoustic guitar sounds raw and gorgeous and really drives it forward with the help of the synths (?), and a wispy drumbeat.

If you’re not a fan of the cover art, we can’t be friends, cause that is such a brilliantly executed idea and super niche. With an album on the way, CASP has my full attention and until then I’ll be replaying Bermuda Grass on an endless loop.

CASP’s new single is out NOW and you can stream it on Apple Music and Spotify!
