christian medice’s “No Hands” feels like the anthem for any New Yorker.
christian medice is a Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer who is making music he thinks his dog would like.
His latest single, “No Hands,” was written in less than an hour with his good friend Jordan Greenwald. Jordan played the initial guitar part for Christian, and the song was born.
“The song always felt pretty special to me, as I lived in New York City at an age where I didn’t have a single care about anything. I wasn’t worried about stress or money, and everything in the city felt so vibrant and alive”.
Just like the city, this song feels vibrant and alive, kicking off with a visual of riding a bike down the streets of the city, wind in your face.
City bikes on a New York night
Yeah were flying down the west side
The wind is blowing so quickly that it starts to make you cry
Feel you breathing down my neck
yeah we’re caught up in a vortex
Exploring the feeling of being out of place in a world that feels like it wasn’t made for you, but finding connection regardless, this song mixes insightful lyrics and a catchy indie tune.
Cuz this world aint set up perfectly for you or me
But we’re wide awake
And something’s changed
I can hear it in your voice when you say “look no hands”
Adding this song to my playlist for the next time I’m on a Lime bike in NYC!
