Following his 2021 EP New Colours in The Sky, Archie returns looking to reinvent himself and shares his latest body of work, Silver Lake.
The song begins with dreamy six-string bass chords, and then, with the help of Scott Alex Robinson, some beautiful drums kick in with his jazzy drumming technique. This song has an overall new wave feel. He calls this his “sappiest love song I’ve ever written”, also offering the central message of the song: “It’s about how a person can make you feel as if there is no past or future without them, everything you need is right here.” The track also includes excellent backing vocals from his partner Jasmine Merriman, which adds some depth.
