Introducing: chemical club – Rise Again / Couches Killing Me & 3 Qs

“chemical club is a lo-fi bedroom pop project that likes to release lots of music.”

The chemical club is a band that is growing and these new two singles are proof they are on the right path. The singles are released via Canadian (label, management, publisher, etc.) company Arts & Crafts, so I am expecting some exposure to these songs. I think it will get a lot of traction, but I am still happy to share their newest catchy darkwave-lo-fi-post-pop-punk music that will get you hooked so easily. I am loving how well the tracks are produced and how it sounds so freaking good. Just try listening to it on headphones and you will love it. You will easily fall in love with these songs. Just start the track and see!

I reached out to the band and asked them our 3 questions + one extra:

What inspired you to start making music and what keeps you making music?

We just loved music as a child and we loved music as an adult. It’s something we’ve always been passionate about and the support has been amazing.

What was the most challenging thing in your music (artistic) path?

I don’t know, maybe figuring out the way our dynamic works and squeezing time for music creation into our work schedules so that we can afford to eat.

What would you dream to do if anything was possible?

We want to make enough money from music just to have a cottage on the lake in our home province so we can stay away from the hectic city and just work on music all day. At the end of the day, we’d sit on the dock, drink some wine, and listen to the music we made that day. That’s really all we’re striving for.

I asked them to tell me more about their band:

Being in a band is the most magical, enlightening facet of this doomed existence. Considering climate catastrophe, political demise, and societal breakdown, the only fulfilling thing we can do is create waves that make our friends smile. We are two friends who are making music as a passion. We’re from Canada and we love nature and the time we spend together.
