I came across Elliott Green’s music on Twitter with the help of some mutual friends. I was pleasantly surprised when she approached us to be part of our Elliott Smith compilation, and we featured her music in our popular SP500 playlist. While I won’t bore you with a lengthy review, I must mention that another music website, The Alternative, did an excellent job of covering her in-depth.
When I first stumbled upon her EP, I gave it a listen without any expectations. I was left utterly mesmerized after the first round and have since listened to it multiple times. The lo-fi, folk-rock tracks are both melancholic and beautiful, with lyrics that tug at your heartstrings and leave an indelible impression on your soul. Her vocal delivery is captivating, and her lyrical style is refreshingly honest, which makes the music all the more compelling.
This year has seen several captivating EPs, but Elliott Green’s is undoubtedly one of the best. It is an experience that you need to listen to understand fully. It is hard to describe, but it will move you in ways you never expected.
As I gaze outside my flat’s window, I see the brown hills that are slowly turning green with the arrival of spring, and it makes me happy. This moment is complete with the beautiful but sad music that touches my soul. It reminds me of the beauty of life, and I am grateful every day for having the opportunity to share my thoughts through this blog. Music has a way of healing, and Elliott Green’s music is nothing short of genius.
