I got this message regarding the opening track Hard To Tell:

It made me so happy to see Z Tapes as a good reference. When I started Z Tapes long ago, I always dreamed of making it a place to discover good music. I am glad Twink Priest submitted a track to our Summer 2022 compilation.
Here is a little bit info about the band:
“Lofi rock, post-punk project born in Cleveland. Twink Priest is lgbtq, visual/conceptual artists Jered and Sebastian with their janky guitars, sick synthesizers and washed-out vocals“
Besides checking out the first single, I recommend you dive into the rest of the EP which has a more drenched shoegaze atmosphere. A little bit darker feeling, but really interesting and highly enjoyable, of course, if you are not looking for softer music. It is definitely a release you have to fully enjoy with headphones on.
