Starting off this work week on the right foot with some chill indie tunes. Aurorum and eilonwy have collaborated to bring us this sunshine and breeze captured in a bottle; a new single called hestia.
Here in Florida, spring is short-lived if ever felt at all. We go from decent temperatures, then to hot, and finally to “too hot to go outside at all”. In that way, we’re all but hitting summer temperatures right now, so I’m considering us on a fast track toward summer here in a few weeks.
This song comes at a perfect time, and the twinkly guitar taps remind me of being around an evening bonfire surrounded by lit tiki torches as the sounds of cicadas lull you into ultimate relaxation.
There’s something especially intimate about the vocals on this track. As we switch from artist to artist, a closeness emerges, and I find myself becoming introspective and longing for a deep-rooted connection. Summer nights are magical if you let yourself feel with complete fullness, and that’s what this track feels like to me.
