I have written about the previous single from this British, South-London-based artist OK Doomer, aka songwriter Lou Doyle on our blog and this is their second single that is being shared with us.
This song was recorded between London and Hamburg by Tonmeister Hannes Plattmeier (Laetitia Sadier / Tim Hecker), ‘From a Chiringuito’ is the latest single from the forthcoming debut record “For my old Great Satan” which should be released later this year.
As the artist writes:
“‘From a Chiringuito’ unfolds like a musical time lapse, as Lou paints an exhilarating and vivid collage of his immediate surroundings, packed with subtext and memory.“
The song is a captivating blend of dreamy indie rock with an experimental twist, incorporating subtle hints of electronic music. The resulting atmosphere is incredibly intriguing and truly resonates with me. Whenever I listen to it, I find myself getting lost in the mesmerizing melody, as if I’m being transported to a mystical, hazy British morning in London, where I spent a couple of months several years ago. It evokes such a pleasant sense of nostalgia, rekindling memories of that wonderful time in my life.
The song is also accompanied by a beautiful atmospheric video that suits the song very much.
