Album: Christina’s Trip – Forever After

A few months back, I had the pleasure of discovering two above-mentioned singles that I really enjoyed. I had been eagerly anticipating the release of the full album. However, with the overwhelming number of submissions we receive, it slipped my attention. Fortunately, Cherub Dream Records reminded me about it, and I’m grateful for that.

Upon listening to the full album for the first time, I was immediately struck by the high quality of the recording. It gives off a live recording vibe but in the best possible way. The drums and guitar sound so authentic, as if I were attending a live performance. It’s quite impressive, as not many bands are able to capture this kind of raw energy in their recordings. The album’s sound and production quality reminded me of the special lo-fi atmosphere found in Sonic Youth recordings, which not many artists are able to replicate successfully.

The song’s energy and guitar riffs are truly captivating, and the drum work is exceptionally well done. The skillfully crafted melodies, punkish approach, and great fuzzy guitar tones create a warm and engaging musical experience. Christina’s voice beautifully complements the instruments and adds another layer of depth to the songs. It’s also worth noting that she wrote all the songs, which further showcases her exceptional talent.

Although the album was released at the beginning of July, it is still available on cassettes and vinyl, which adds an extra layer of appeal for music enthusiasts who appreciate physical copies.

Go and enjoy this lo-fi fuzzy gem.
