‘For your own good you kill the glow.’
Waves Crashing are a Seattle-based band that specialise in inspiring sepia-tinted nostalgia through their lush and melodic output. ‘Wish’ opens with a side stick pitter-patter and melodic, resonant guitar chords. It switches effortlessly between a rolling, post-punk rush and spaced-out atmospherics as it slowly builds. Vocals take a backseat during subtle crescendos towards the end of the song before things abruptly draw to a close.
