Single: Taxidermy – You Are Here Now

Taxidermy’s You Are Here Now’ completely redefines what a rock song should be. Hailing from the band’s ‘Let’s Go’ EP, the song immediately grabs your attention through the use of strings, creating an almost ethereal feeling to the song. Captivating layers and haunting vocals lead you on an almost six-minute exploration of self-destruction and what it means to fall out of love. At times, the band seem to drown out Osvald Reinhold’s vocals, which perfectly encapsulates the harsh reality and anger of losing love.

By ending the song with the gentle strumming of guitars that lead onto the high-pitched wailing of feedback, it helps to encapsulate the song’s pensive essence and establishes the song as a firm favourite with current fans while also allowing a new wave to discover the hidden gem that is Taxidermy.
