We have been enthusiastically diving into the fresh sounds from moodlighting, and they’ve recently unveiled a mesmerizing new single titled “Anna.” This track is beautifully paired with evocative black and white footage that harkens back to the era of silent cinema, though I can’t quite place its origin. Musically, “Anna” epitomizes dreamy twee pop, yet this time it introduces a subtle undercurrent of post-punk influence, creating a delicate but intriguing soundscape.
This Los Angeles-based duo has consistently delivered captivating music, and their latest offering is no exception. There’s a palpable sense of evolution in their work, leading me to suspect they might be on the brink of releasing new material, perhaps an album or an EP. Each piece of new music hints at a promising and exciting direction. I’m eager to see what creative treasures they have in store for us in the future.
