“From April to June” is a deeply personal song that reflects on a period of personal growth I had when my long term relationship fell apart. I think the song showcases the band at our core, as it was one of the first songs that I felt compelled to share with the band. I like to think that it conveys a lover’s heartfelt plea amidst the troubled nature of how depression can manifest itself.”
The recent press release we received introduces an intriguing Adelaide-based band, whose members hail from groups like Siamese, Twine, The Empty Threats, and Big Town. Their camaraderie is palpable, not only behind the scenes but also on stage, where their electrifying performances have captivated a growing fanbase. The release emphasizes their unique sound, which can be described as “trashy mid-fi rock,” capable of filling the venue with a warm and energetic atmosphere that draws you in.
Since their debut EP in 2022, the band has continued to evolve, releasing a series of compelling tracks and albums (EPs), culminating in their latest single. This new offering masterfully blends the ethereal qualities of dreamy lo-fi rock or dream pop with the textural richness of shoegaze, creating an enchanting soundscape that envelops the listener. The layers of sound effectively convey a deeply personal story, making the song resonate on multiple levels.
As the band embarks on creating new material, they aim to evolve their musical style while staying true to their roots. Excitingly, they are also planning a tour across Australia, where fans will have the opportunity to witness their strong bond and spirited performances live.
I find myself wholly immersed in their newest single, which artfully balances an intricate narrative with a hauntingly beautiful ambiance. It is a testament to their craftsmanship, leaving a lasting impression with its dreamy essence and evocative storytelling.
