The teenage-esque feelings that revolve around waiting for someone to reciprocate feelings is equal parts exciting and gut wrenching. frogi’s newest single, “waiting (i’m not ok),” captures that perplexing duality. Turning the dreadedwaiting game on its head, the self-produced track features a paradoxical mix of upbeat, sugary instrumentation intertwined with an anxious inner monologue, culminating in an acceptance that she may not be okay (and that’s okay).
“It’s about admitting our aloneness and anxiety, and in turn, becoming friends with it and laughing with it. Sometimes you’ve just got to accept that you’re scared and try to make peace with it.” – frogi
An n-th single from frogi I am sharing. Again a great one.
