I was patiently waiting for another Club 8 single to drop, so when I saw that they released Working On The Next Life on March 7th I almost jumped for joy. I covered their last single release, None of This Will Matter When You Are Dead, in February and couldn’t let this slip through my fingers.
This single is definitely upbeat, yet somehow a super chill listen. It’s the kind of song you want to be listening to as you take an afternoon drive near the coast, windows down, breathing in the salty air. The electric guitar bits are always so fun, fresh, and paint a really specific picture of the story Club 8 is trying to tell and the feeling they’re trying to evoke.
As we come into spring in Florida, this is going to be on repeat for me. Luckily, I live about 8 or so miles from the east coast beaches, so I can recreate the feeling over and over again as this plays through my speakers. Even if you don’t live near the water, this song will transport you there in a jiffy.
