I also liked how they don’t sit in one pattern for too long, with small changes appearing throughout the song keeping everything feeling fresh and alive. Underneath it all, a steady and catchy bassline holds the track together and adds extra movement, giving the song a steady pulse even as the guitars and drums stay busy on top.
The vocals sits calmly and soft against all that movement, wide in the mix and soaked in reverb, giving them a psychedelic and almost dreamlike quality. That contrast between the busy instrumentals and the floaty vocals fits the song’s theme well: Waking up from a dream about someone who’s no longer reachable, caught somewhere between memory and reality.
Lyrically, the song leans into that hazy in-between space: Purple skies, fading echoes, reaching for something that keeps slipping away. Lines like “if dreams could leak back into what was real” captures that specific ache of wanting to stay in a memory a little longer, even knowing it can’t last.
