Single: Cape Crush x Good June – Apple at the Aggy

I was inspired to write this song when my son lied to me and I felt really frustrated. I tried to remember a time when I lied to my parents, and I recalled a time my mom went out of town for Thanksgiving and I stayed behind with my brother and had a party with our friends. She was so disappointed when she found out and I couldn’t really explain why I did it. It didn’t feel worth it after all. Apple at the Aggy is a vignette into that day that I lied.

This is a long-awaited single from an electrifying power emo band hailing from the scenic North Shore of Massachusetts. They have teamed up with their friends in Good June to create a track that artfully fuses the vibrant energy of power pop with the deep emotional resonance of emo music. The result is a captivating sound that draws listeners in and leaves them wanting more.

The synergy between these two bands is truly impressive, making their collaboration a noteworthy highlight. Additionally, fans can anticipate another exciting partnership between Cape Crush and Impossible Dog, a band we’ve previously spotlighted on this blog.

I’m thrilled to uncover yet another gem from the East Coast music scene and am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming single that will be part of this anticipated split release. Collaborations between bands often yield some of the most interesting music, and this particular partnership shines with infectious energy, memorable hooks, and heartfelt emotion.
