Introducing: Midnight Granger – The Swan & 3 Qs

I have already shared one single from this album and I was looking forward to the album. I did not know about the artist much so I decided to ask him our 3 Qs. I recommend everyone get someone to write them a bio, if you need someone, I know some great guys.

But back to the album, the album is a collection of 9 songs emitting a lot of folky indie rock vibes. The songs are focusing on Midnight Granger’s vocals and his great songwriting skills. With my pals, we have started to listen to music while doing some workouts. Last time I went for a run and listened to the whole album (this one). I recommend you try it with this one, you can focus more on the vocals and the overall vibe when you are running (for example). I enjoyed this album quite a lot, it can be good company for Fall evenings that are slowly approaching or just nice music to listen to while working. Just try it and let me know.

I asked the artist 3 questions to learn more about him:

What inspired you to start making music and what keeps you making music?

I had played guitar since I was 13, and had written some funny love songs, but never took it seriously until later. I was a bored and depressed teenager in high school and I was first introduced to some bedroom indie music classics like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala, I suddenly learned you can make music on your own. So I got some cheap recording gear and fell in love with the process from there. Discovering how to layer tracks, and make new sounds was the best thing that could have happened to me at that time in my life.

What was the most challenging thing in your music (artistic) path?

The most challenging thing in my artist’s path is finding my own unique voice. To discover who you are as an artist is just as difficult as seeing who you are as a person, and to represent that authentically is a serious challenge

What would you dream to do if anything was possible?

If I could do anything I’d record an album in space and have a release party with aliens
