EP: Coyote Legs – Revenant

I recently came across an EP that was released back in March 2022. Despite the time that has passed since its release, I find it fascinating that musicians are still promoting their music and reaching out to us. Our blog has never had a policy of only featuring new music, and I don’t think we should introduce one. It’s more about covering music that feels fresh to us, regardless of the release date.

This EP is a beautiful collection of gentle lo-fi bedroom pop with subtle hints of lo-fi rock. I particularly appreciate the use of spoken words from old recordings or voice memos at the beginning of some songs. The emotional depth in this EP is striking, as the artists share a lot of their personal experiences through their music. It’s reminiscent of the melancholic lo-fi bedroom folk-pop of Fog Lake, whom I’ve always admired.

Coyote Legs, the artists behind this EP, have crafted a mesmerizing musical experience. It’s incredibly challenging for me to pick a favorite track because each song possesses its unique charm, and I find myself getting lost in the melodies, allowing the music to transport me.

I’m thrilled that the artist reached out to us because this EP truly feels magical, and I would have missed out on it otherwise. I’ve enjoyed immersing myself in every minute of this musical journey, and I highly recommend giving it a listen. It’s an experience that’s hard not to fall in love with.
