In the past, I have written about my admiration for the music of trust blinks and even had the pleasure of conducting a short interview with Ethan. Their previous album left a lasting impression on me, so when I received a new submission from them, I was ecstatic. Particularly if it was a song from their latest album – a collection of demos and unreleased tracks. I have always enjoyed listening to demos as they provide a rare insight into an artist’s creative process. Sometimes, these early versions of songs are even better than the final product, as they exude a raw honesty and a unique atmosphere that is often lost in the editing process. This time was no exception, and I thoroughly enjoyed this compilation of songs. If you are a fan of lo-fi slacker indie rock, then this album is an absolute must-listen.
I also love the idea of putting this album on USB sticks. They look so cute!
