Album: Milk St. – V3RM0NT

Northeast Emo From the Pine Tree State

Hailed as a “Thinking Man’s Punk Rock Band,” by Mainebrews N Musicreviews, Milk St. is a punk trio from Bangor, Maine who takes the melodic aspects of midwest emo, and the rawness of grunge to create what they call, Northeast Emo. In an attempt to capture the beautifully depressing aspects of their home state of Maine, Milk St. draws from bands such as Title Fight, Modern Baseball, Nirvana, and more to create something totally new. With the release of their Debut Full Length Album: Spaced, and their newest single “Just Lust,” Milk St. are already hard at work on their next EP.

Milk St. Is:
Jonah Wakefield / Guitar and Vocals)
abe Chambers / Bass
Josh Whittemore / Drums

I have been sharing more emo bands on my blog because I have decided it is time to expand my horizons more and more and tap into new scenes. Dream pop will be always my favorite genre to cover, but it is always great to listen to new music from new artists.

This album is a mixture of classic Midwest (northeast) emo with punk and grunge influence, which creates a really energetic blend. The songs have really nice raw energy that will get you boosted. I am also enjoying the folk guitar popping out in songs, it gives it a really nice touch overall.

I recommend you check the full album, it will be a bumpy energetic ride.
