Single: M. Vaughan – Tire Swing

“M. Vaughan (Michael Vaughan) is a Lisbon-based producer, DJ, and songwriter from Virginia who makes emotional electronic music. He runs Super Tuff Records and his music been supported by the likes of Axel BomanPalms Trax and Laurent Garnier and covered in Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, and Vice. ‘Keep in Touch EP’ lands in June 2024, a record that moves away from the club and towards the emotional indie rock of his roots, taking inspiration from alternative/electronic artists like Mount Kimbie , Tirzah, and Toro y Moi.”

M. Vaughan announces his return with “Tire Swing,” the gorgeous lead single from June 14th’s ‘Keep in Touch’ EP. The single offers the first taste of a record that sees the acclaimed (VICE / Resident Advisor / Mixmag) Portugal-via-New York producer moving away from the club and towards the emotional indie rock of his roots with a sound for fans of Mount Kimbie and Blood Orange.

The press release for the upcoming EP contains some exciting information to pique your interest. Sharing now just some bits. Audio Antihero, my trusted source for music recommendations, introduced me to electronic music. Although I am not typically a fan of electronic music, I decided to give it a go based on Jamie’s recommendation. The song has a distinct dreamy vibe that caught my attention, and I can imagine it being played in a club and standing out from the typical dance tracks that are popular these days. This track is exceptional, even for someone who isn’t typically fond of electronic music, and I am eager to listen to the full EP.
