30 TRACKS PICKED BY MARC SCHUSTER

At Start-Track we like to invite our favourite artists to create guest playlists for us to share on our ever-expanding Spotify profile. Across the playlist’s 30 songs, these artists share music they’ve been listening to recently, as well as some which has shaped their own art and philosophies.

This new playlist is from Marc Schuster, a remarkably productive and prolific fellow. Not only has he recently released the wonderfully creative and eclectic ArguablyLP, but he also writes and records in numerous other groups like The Star Crumbles, Simmons and Schuster, Plush Gordon, and The Ministry of Plausible Rumours (read all about his musical exploits here).

In addition to his own music, you can hear him on AMS Radio every Wednesday for his #Tweetcore Radio Hour show. He uses this slot to air a wide array of hidden gems from international artists (in fact, every artist in this guest playlist has been played on his radio show). When he’s no on the air, he also runs the Abominations music blog, where he has interviewed several artists that Start-Track readers may be pretty familiar with, such as Magana, Las Nubes, Nosferatu D2, and My Best Unbeaten Brother.

On top of this, he’s also written several books, spanning both non-fiction (with subjects including The Beach Boys’ underrated ‘Holland’ album, Don DeLillo, and Doctor Who) and fiction (with titles ranging from ‘Frankie Lumlit’s Janky Drumkit’ to ‘The Grievers’).

Considering all of these projects, it’s quite impressive that he was also able to find the time to make this playlist for us, but we’re glad he did, and we’re happy to get to share it with you.

30 Tracks Picked by Marc Schuster:

Marc’s playlist puts his own song, the delightful “Blue Light,” alongside some of his other groups and projects, as well as under-the-radar bands and singer-songwriters like Rose Alaimo, Leah Callahan, Western Jaguar, Fataday Korgnor, and Stone Cold Grace.

There’s many great independent artists to discover in Marc Schuster’s playlist, so please be sure to listen here, and subscribe to the Start-Track Spotify channel here. You can find a full list of guest playlists here.
