At Start-Track we like to invite our favourite artists to create guest playlists for us to share on our ever-expanding Spotify profile. Across the playlist’s 30 songs, these artists share music they’ve been listening to recently, as well as some which have shaped their own art and philosophies.
This new playlist is from the Florida-based Tyler Costolo (Ghost Fan Club / Two Meters) who just released his haunting (no pun intended) ‘Ghost Fan Club’ EP via Knifepunch Records.
We’re longtime fans of Costolo’s work (first featuring him in May of 2020), and we were delighted to see him return to the GFC name for this long-awaited release. Here’s what Callum had to say about the new EP:
“Where it would have been easy to return as the same iteration of the artist, Costello has taken a risk by slightly altering the sound of the project, changing how he approached his work. The result is nothing short of wonderful, and hopefully, it promises a continued streak of achingly haunting slowcore that we are always in dire need of.” (read the full Start-Track review here)

Costolo’s playlist features Start-Track favourites like Laptop Funeral, Frog, The Merrier, Magana, and bedbug, as well as Swim Camp (Swim Camp’s Tom Morris drums on the new Ghost Fan Club EP). There are even some classics like “Surrender” by Suicide.
