“I wrote this about the a difficult time in a relationship when you feel like you’ve stated your needs but your needs infringe on the partner’s, creating a hopeless situation but neither person is ready to give up.”
This artist has just released their second single, and it’s the second time we’ve featured them. I’m really drawn to their unique take on emo, which emphasizes vocals and minimalistic production. The song’s atmosphere and emotions have completely captivated me. It’s one of those songs that transcends mere music – it feels like the lyrics are your own words. While I can’t say that I’ve personally experienced the same emotions as the song portrays, it definitely stirs something deep within me when I listen to it.
A special moment.
Just play the song and sing along to the lyrics:
Now we’re at a loss for our words
It’s the most lesbionic scene you’ve heard
And we’re crying because we’re fighting over parts of ourselves
That we’ll never change
I’ve been counting the cracks on the wall
Ignoring the text from my mom
Because she’d know what was wrong if I said I was well
And there’s no sense in talking this out
Okay we can nurture your anxiety
Fuck how I feel, fuck how this effects me
You’ve said you needed time
So I gave you that
And when I followed up
You said I set you back
Now we’re at a loss for our words
It’s the most lesbionic scene you’ve heard
And we’re crying because we’re fighting over parts of ourselves
That we’ll never change
Let’s not push past a feeling momentary
I’ll just suppress my needs until they’re buried
Don’t be mad about the drugs, they’re necessary
I tried to talk, I gave it time, guess I’ll die waiting
Now we’re at a loss for our words
It’s the most lesbionic scene you’ve heard
And we’re crying because we’re fighting over parts of ourselves
That we’ll never change
Let’s not push past a feeling momentary
I’ll just suppress my needs until they’re buried
Don’t be mad about the drugs, they’re necessary
I tried to talk, I gave it time, guess I’ll die waiting
