Single: Trinket – Drive Me

I sometimes like digging out bios from Spotify. I bet no one is reading them without intentionally looking for them. Here is one for Trinket:

“Trinket is a new jangle pop band from Brooklyn, NY. They briefly played under the moniker First Crush. The music and band is comprised of songwriters lead singer and rhythm guitarist Madison Kate Proffitt, lead guitarist Sean Camargo (also of band @S.C.A.B. ) bassist Nara Avakian (of Nara’s Room) and drummer Basil Lee. Trinket loves Haribo peach gummies, shoegaze, and the 1980’s record label Sarah Records.”

Here is a little quote about the song as well:

“Drive Me” is a bittersweet, sun dappled jangle pop/shoegaze single written by Madison Kate Proffitt.”

I have shared S.C.A.B.’s music before, so I naturally became more interested in this project. I also like to connect the dots and learn more about how bands are connected in this small indie world. I am really enjoying the connecting of the vocals with the jangle guitars. It kinda goes well with a sunny spring mood which is more present these days. It feels optimistic and joyful and I feel similarly when listening to this song. Especially for the debut single, it is a great one and I am already looking forward to hearing more in the future.

You can follow the band on Spotify.
