“This track was recorded in two days in Los Angeles with Matthew Neighbour (Drug Dealer, Still Woozy). I played everything and worked with Matt to create some unique sounds. The song draws influence from early Elliott Smith and bands like Duster, and is about restless monotony and alcoholism.”
The submission included a little quote from an artist, and it’s speculated that the artist is from Australia, although there’s limited information available online to confirm this. This marked their second single release, and I was particularly drawn to the melancholic and slowcore style of the music, which reminded me of the lo-fi rock that I used to enjoy, such as artists like Matthew Leger or Conor Lynch. Despite the similarities to these artists, I found the music to be unique and captivating, leaving me eager for more. I am looking forward to what next this artist will have for us.
