Single: Rupe – Pick Back Up!

We have covered the previous single, you can read it as well:

Soaking up the sun with old friends
Can’t believe it’s almost Summer’s end
Thomas has a job lined up
In Austin with a tech startup
And I don’t know where I’ll be
Or where I’ll work in three weeks
But I’m here right now
On the beach with my best buds
Hoping this never ends
Talking ’till the sun’s up
Then we’ll head back home
And go our separate ways
Till we can find a weekend that works out

I recently came across a breathtaking indie pop track by a talented musician named Rupert Lange, or Rupe for short. Hailing from rural North Louisiana, Rupe’s musical journey began at a tender age of 8 when he first picked up a Washburn sunburst Stratocaster and a small practice amp. His dedication to music was evident as he spent countless nights perfecting new songs and riffs throughout his school years, eventually venturing into the world of bands.

As someone currently working in the tech industry, I found myself reminiscing about the carefree days when I longed to simply revel in music, make friends who shared my passion, and experience life’s pleasures like beach outings. Though my dreams may not have fully materialized, I find contentment in my steady job, married life, and the joy I derive from managing a blog that has allowed me to connect with fellow music enthusiasts.

Rupe’s beautiful summery dreamy indie rock has rekindled my love for music, resonating deeply with me. If I ever had the opportunity to form a band, his sound is precisely what I would aim for. Despite being 33 years old with no band experience, I am wholeheartedly invested in my blog and cassette label, as well as the vibrant community at Start-Track. My life is enriched by the wonderful music we cover, and Rupe’s latest track has unquestionably become my favorite. It deserves to see the light on cassettes, don’t you think?
