Quitt are a band from Mainz, Germany, that make angular and emotive post punk that occasionally borrows some shades from the scrappy and urgent strokes of bands like Rites of Spring and Fugazi. Their latest single ‘Mondo (Im Warenstrom)’ sounds like a swarm of bees trying to escape a confined space, with its desperate, cagey guitars and sizzling, rattling cymbals. There is a constant level of tension expertly maintained throughout the song, until it all disintegrates in the outro, leaving just the screeching guitars crashing and burning into nothingness with a triumphant snare roll.
