I’ve been absolutely blown away by the recent surge in bands creating music with a shoegaze influence. Over the past few months and even years, we’ve been inundated with hundreds of songs from new and emerging bands. While it’s exciting to see the genre thriving, it’s also made me more discerning in my tastes. With so much shoegaze music coming in, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to cover other genres. Don’t get me wrong, I love shoegaze, but there are times when I crave a break from it.
One recent discovery that caught my attention is a new track by a mysterious duo from the United States. The song seamlessly blends dream pop with post-punk vibes, all enveloped in a shoegaze aesthetic. The result is an exhilarating, fuzzy wall of sound that’s sure to get your adrenaline pumping. While the overall sound may not be entirely unique anymore, I still found immense enjoyment in listening to this track.
