Phantom Wave are a Brooklyn-based shoegaze band who specialise in carefully building sonic textures that melt into each other and converge into a crushing wall of sound. ‘First Light’ is their urgent and atmospheric new single, it encapsulates their sound well and does a sterling job of executing the heavier and more progressive arm of the genre they operate inside of.
