I have always loved press releases and sharing them without rewriting them. Here is the quote about the artist:
“Peli Gene is the moniker of solo artist Gabe Parker. Producing all songs from his bedroom studio in Tampa, Florida, Peli Gene aims to inspire and represent members of the DIY/bedroom pop community. Mixing tones inspired from jangle pop, bedroom pop, lofi-rock, and psychedelia, Peli Gene’s musical aesthetic derives from the similar creative process it originates from.”
And here is a paragraph about the new single/video we received recently.
“Valentine is the first single in a series of releases from Peli Gene’s upcoming self-produced album. Inspired by DIY Lo-Fi Rock and bedroom pop genres, Valentine captures energetic soundscapes by blending pop melodies and indie tones. The track expresses a longing to cherish and support a loved one through emotional highs and lows, highlighting the importance of savoring the present moment together. This release features an accompanying music video, merchandise, and international marketing.”
It’s summer, and I’m always excited to discover new upbeat indie pop music. I love catchy guitar riffs, infectious melodies, playful lyrics, and just an overall energy that brightens your day. The music video added another layer to the catchiness of the song. Before I knew it, my leg was tapping to the rhythm, and I was fully immersed in it. I’ve always been a huge fan of catchy indie pop love songs, and this one is so accessible that it will definitely resonate with many people. If this were mainstream indie pop, I’d have to listen on the radio, but I’m all in. I’ll grab a soda, crank up my headphones, and forget about the heatwave we’re all feeling these days.
