The way this band came together was through a very funny yet inspiring circumstance, but the way they ended was a bit more surprising. You see, this band came together through the project The Pablo Collective, a group of mysterious producers inspired by Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo. (One of their albums was named The Death of Pablo in response.)
PACOL (short for Pablo Collective) is now a shoegaze band made of two out of originally five members, Noah box and alix vivi5mil, two multi-instrumentalists whose brand of such also includes plunderphonics. The result of such a mixture is that “When You Order” is shoegaze that isn’t too lost within itself to keep your head nodding in a trance. This clearly does not mean the Pablo thing has completely gone away, though. Their new album coming in the future is named The Year of PACOL.
