Singapore songwriter Kyotoh Gloom has dropped his third track, and it’s a blend of shoegaze textures and dream pop structures.
It’s a shimmering, luscious, glistening 3 and a half minutes that absolutely glides by. It’s part My Bloody Valentine, part The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and it’s full of atmosphere, introspection, emotion and style.
Clearly a bit of a daydream of a song, it is seemingly centred around the examination of the sensation of escapism that comes with feeling like you’re able to abscond into your own little world.
For many of us, we get that feeling through music. Run Away is no exception.
