The Christmas season tends to be a quieter time for our blog, with the influx of submissions dropping to nearly a standstill. This lull is a welcomed respite, especially after being inundated with an overwhelming number of submissions throughout the year – a chance for us to catch up on some of the gems we’ve received. Reflecting on 2024, I can confidently say it has been the most remarkable year for our blog since its inception, filled with incredible music that truly resonated with us.
Among the treasures we’ve yet to share is a captivating Christmas single from Kramies, a talented and prolific indie rock artist who has been honing his craft for years. While I had anticipated a larger variety of Christmas tunes to cross our path, it’s been interesting to note that many of the songs submitted just didn’t strike a chord with me. However, this particular indie folk piece stands out as one of the finest we’ve received, encapsulating the spirit of the season beautifully.
Unfortunately, I find myself lying at home, unwell and unable to enjoy the holiday as I had envisioned. It’s not the idyllic scenario I had hoped for, but such is life. The melancholic tones of this Christmas song resonate deeply with my current mood, providing some solace during this downtime. I sincerely hope that your Christmas has been filled with joy and, ideally, free from the burden of illness.
