We wrote about the previous album in March.
“Later this year, on November the 24th, Hanemoon will be releasing an EP with a mix of new and old but unreleased songs via Janglepop specialists Subjangle, Pretoria. It’s called “Easy on the Wildlife”.“
We recently received this quote accompanying a new single from an upcoming album by our talented friends at Subjangle. This track beautifully embodies the lo-fi jangle pop sound—often described with terms like jangle lo-fi rock or lo-fi jangle rock, depending on your preference for genre classification.
What truly resonates with me about this song is its powerful anti-war message. As a strong advocate for pacifism, I believe that war represents one of humanity’s greatest evils. The sentiment conveyed in this music profoundly aligns with my views, and I deeply appreciate Hanemoon for bravely addressing such a crucial topic.
In today’s world, we are constantly confronted with distressing news about conflicts unfolding in places like Ukraine and Gaza, highlighting the indisputable reality that there are always forces eager to inflict harm on others. This is why I urge everyone to immerse themselves in music that inspires love and understanding—let it transform your hearts and encourage a movement toward peace rather than violence.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this latest single from Hanemoon and eagerly anticipate the release of their full EP. They hail from Berlin, a city with a rich musical heritage, and I’m excited to share their work with our readers soon. Let’s support artists who speak out for compassion and change through their music.
