“This track stemmed from about a year ago where it seems a large chunk of friends were moving to various places in the world and this is my response to that. A tongue in cheek way of saying that I prefer it here and they shouldn’t move. I was listening to a lot of Alvvays and shoegazey/powerpop stuff at the time so tried to capture some of that in here.”
We have covered the previous single from this indie pop outfit from Britain:
The new single is a vibrant and uplifting indie pop track with dreamy, summery vibes and an appealing shoegaze undertone that contributes to the song’s overall catchiness. The combination of dreamy melodies and a hint of shoegaze gives the track a unique and captivating quality that is perfect for summer.
Why you on the floor
Rolling in the dirt again?
Everything’s the same
The same the same
Ahhh
Why you have to leave
Leave me on my own again
Please just go away
(stay away)
Ahhhhh
The song possesses an alluring combination of pop sensibilities and DIY charm that never fails to captivate me. I found myself irresistibly drawn in by the enchanting vocals and the skillfully executed guitar solos, which added depth and richness to the melody. I am eagerly anticipating the artist’s future releases, excited to see what they will bring to the table.
