Originally, a gendered song between man and woman,”Katie Dear” is transformed into a song about two lovers, one of whom has bigoted parents. This leads the two to take their own lives. Harmonies blending very heavenly, they twisted this time for a performance that will take place at the Midmountain Reclaiming Appalachian Murder Ballads Festival. For those new to them, this, and also their three-song demo, is a sweet introduction to what they have.
