Community Swimming Pool is a project from multi-instrumentalist Glasgow musician Brett McCann.
It’s comfortable, familiar guitar sound of bygone, eighties days, and autobiographical lyrics of depression and toxic relationships make for excellent dreampop escapism.
The debut single ‘Upside Down’ is an ever-growing, sunny build up with hard-hitting themes about our troubled world. He’s here to set the mood for summer evening moments by the sea or golden hour at your local outdoor swimming pool.
Community Swimming Pool is being released on my favorite Backpack Records from Berlin. When writing this text I put this single on loop because it is that good. The guitar parts are just superb and the overall atmosphere of the song is so good. I wish I could describe the feeling I have when listening to this song, but my words are useless. Just press the play and enjoy it with me. You will not regret it.
