Conflict at Serenity Pools – good pedestrian
Dreamy lo-fi rock from California with playful guitars. “…it’s a playful contemplation on taking that meaningful walk to calm the mind down. Often anxiety, both personal and situational, arise, and the lyrics are meant to be a positive, self-soothing reaffirmation, within the context of a city where there are many problems: cost of living, people running stop signs, unchecked gentrification and development: if you’ve visited anytime recently, LA has become a place of extremes.” You can find more music on Spotify.
straight stitch – persona non grata
“one day
i’ll fall for
a girl who can love me
with both hands
and not just her fists”
I do not know much about the band besides the fact that they are from Austin, Texas. Bedroom rock with a really catchy guitar part at the end. Also, the lyrics were quite catchy. Short track but still great. You can find more music on Bandcamp.
Alison Sudol – Come On Baby
A little bit of mainstream-sounding indie pop, but still something in it really got me. Maybe the soothing vocals are getting under my skin, maybe the simple powerful atmosphere of the song, who knows… Alison is apparently pretty talented (according to the press release) and this is just proof of that. You can definitely check more music on Spotify.
Imaginary Sister – Forces
“Antwerp-based folk noir duo Imaginary Sister creates silhouettes of songs by combining minimal arrangements and a softly rustling voice.” Another a little bit more mainstream-sounding indie folk (according to my music criteria), but still catching me enough to give it a share. I am glad that this one is coming from Europe. You can find more music on Spotify.
Lean Tee – good luck out there!
“Lean Tee is a mixed genre recording project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Taylor Kracher, recorded out of his apartment in Baltimore, Maryland.” Experimental lo-fi rock. Let’s say. It is not the usual music I listen to, but this track really caught my attention. It has a really special atmosphere, which I am pretty much enjoying. You can definitely check out more music on Bandcamp.
