I am excited to share my thoughts on an incredible project hailing from Northern California that expertly merges the influences of indie rock, post-shoegaze, and dream pop to create an enchanting soundscape of dreamy indie rock. I’ve had the pleasure of covering some of their singles in the past, and their new EP, titled Beverage / Late Summer pt. 1, showcases their growth and creativity.
For those eager for more, a visit to their Bandcamp page reveals an additional shorter EP called Refreshing. Altogether, these two collections feature nine captivating tracks that provide a rich listening experience. The songs vary in mood, encompassing a delightful range of emotions and sound textures that keep you engaged from start to finish.
If you’re a fan of atmospheric indie rock and enjoy bands like Beach Fossils, you’re likely to fall in love with this project. As a huge fan of Beach Fossils myself, I felt an instant connection to the vibes presented in these new tracks. Despite the winter chill surrounding me, the music radiates with summer warmth, conjuring visions of the fresh ocean breeze and the soothing sensation of sand beneath my feet on a Californian beach.
The second EP leans even more into the dream pop territory, making it an engaging follow-up. If you were captivated by the first EP, I assure you that you’ll find much to appreciate in this one as well. I truly relished the dreamy atmosphere that the songs created, transporting me to sun-soaked days and carefree moments, making it a perfect escape during these colder months. Each track feels like a little slice of summer nostalgia, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in its melodic charm.
