Dropping the name The Sneaky Mister, Brooklyn’s Jude Shimer returns to the fold with two new songs after a six-year hiatus. One is named “Siren”, a showtune-style piano ballad that tackles love that never quite presents itself as anything more than mere lust.
Another is “Everything I Wanted”, a slowcore piano track that tackles the result of past high expectations, such as the quest for true love, past quests for “the world knowing [their] name”, and whether or not all of it would make them happy.
