Album: Mark Buffalo – Mark Buffalo

“Perhaps best known for his DIY home studio Instagram covers, Mark is ready to release his first collection of original material (with one cover, of course) through Outcast Tape Infirmary.

Mark pulls influences from over three decades of emo, pop punk, and power pop to create 7 tracks that, in his own words, explore “feelings of anxiety, boredom, and generally whatever is going on in my head.”

With a unique mix of upbeat pop tracks and heavier, instrumental-focused songs, there is a bit of something for everyone here.”

The Outcast Tape Infirmary has been on my radar for quite some time now, and their latest cassette release has been bookmarked for ages. Finally, I managed to find some free time to give it a listen and pen down my thoughts. Outcast Tape is known for releasing not only great emo music but also an impressive selection of other genres. I have been thoroughly enjoying their offerings and have even ordered some of their tapes for our small store. If you happen to be in Bratislava, I highly recommend dropping by and checking out their amazing collection, including tapes from the underrated Wisconsin-based label.

As soon as I hit play, I was hooked by the raw energy emanating from the album. The drums and guitars were particularly noteworthy, and Mark Buffallo’s opening track instantly captured my attention. I can only imagine how incredible it would be to experience this music live. This emo pop-punk album is packed with amazing tracks that will have you headbanging and singing along in no time. It’s a true gem that deserves much more love and recognition.

So, don’t hesitate – grab a copy of this masterpiece on cassette and crank up the volume!
