Introducing: Bluhm – Garden Of Hearts & 3 Qs

“Bluhm is a band based in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan that consists of Claire Bluhm (vocals/guitar) and Cameron John Marion (multi-instrumentalist/producer)

All the songs are written, recorded, and produced by Bluhm and Marion in their home studio.”

I have been sharing a lot of music from Bluhm on our blog and I realle enjoy their dreamy folky indie pop. I was looking for this new album and I am not dissapointed. Dreamy atmosphere, beautiful vocals and really nice production taking in consideration it was made at home. I am loving how poppy the songs are but still retaining the indie feel. The songs are catchy, for example the 80s vibes in Dance With You are so cool. But other songs are amazing as well and I highly recommend to listen ot it from the beginning ot the end.

The album was really a joyful ride and I loved listening to it. What nice album that will be a good company for my Fall evenings. Another stellar one in my collection from this year.

I have reached to the band asked them our 3 Qs:

What inspired you to start making music and what keeps you making music?

Being moved by music inspired us to make music. Whatever emotions you’re feeling there is a song out there that can enhance or heal or relate to how you feel. Once you realize that creating music allows you to put those specific feelings into your songs, and also possibly have other people connect to your music, you want to do it for the rest of your life.

What was the most challenging thing in your music (artistic) path?

The most challenging thing is probably finding the path you are supposed to be on. Once you begin making music and find the passion and love for it, you look to grow and expand what you are doing. It takes time and persistence to find the right people who will support you and collaborate with and help you grow as an artist. We are both life long musicians who have been honing our crafts for many years, but once we began working together and formed Bluhm, everything clicked into place.

What would you dream to do if anything was possible?

Our dream is just to continue making music that we are proud of. Continue growing as artists. And make music that connects and moves people. Anything that comes along with that is beautiful.
