LA duo SIGNAL started life in a coffee shop where baristas Audrey Hair and Jared Farley discovered their shared love for music while preparing coffee for the thirsty Los Angeles public.
What began as casual chats over dark espresso and steamed milk quickly turned into a fully fledged artistic pursuit. They recruited their talented coworker, Dylan Gardner (who is also part of the band Communicant), as their producer, and the blend was complete.
Their newest single – Lime – was written by guitarist Jared. On it, they borrow from acts as varied as Kurt Vile, The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala and Big Thief, as the lo-fi combination of enchanting elements ensnares and envelopes you.
This is only the fourth track released by the duo, but based on the strength of their output so far, the future certainly looks bright for them.
