Vagrant Sabbatical’s brand-new offering is a spectacular display of musicianship, emotional clarity, and contrast.
‘BROADSIDE’ sees the artist compose four distinct guitar parts, and meld them all together, creating tones evocative of the depth of feeling attainable in shoegaze, and the minimal yet powerful instances within post-rock. Not only is the song an excellent showcase of Vagrant Sabbatical’s deft control over his instrument, but the warmth and confidence of his lyrical content. His ability to craft a song that is perhaps on the more unconventional side of traditional song structure is nothing but spectacular.
